In this Yin practice we will open the windows of the heart with shoulder and heart opening work. These poses can energize the body and refresh the spirt. Be sure to modify or omit poses if you have injury or concerns with your shoulders. Yin is a style of yoga where most poses are done closer to the ground and are held for extended periods of time (in this class about 1-5 minutes per pose), allowing gravity to work for you.
You might like to play some relaxing cello or “spa” music in the background as you practice.
Suggested Props: Blanket, 2 Blocks and a Timer for Savasana.
**This was filmed during the COVID-19 crisis in the US. I’m offering it as a free class, but would greatly appreciate it if you would pay it forward. Please, if you have the means, purchase a pass or a gift card from your local yoga studio. If you are unable to support your studio monetarily, please consider giving them a positive review, sharing a post or recommending their services to a friend.
This class is beginner friendly and suitable for most levels. Practice only if you are fit to do so. Always choose the right level of challenge for you.
