In this Yin practice we will work to open and stimulate the inner and outer seams of the body. We will also twist and compress the midsection and side body. This prepares us to ring out what no longer serves us and helps to make space for what does. Yin is a style of yoga where most poses are done closer to the ground and are held for extended periods of time (in this class about 1-5 minutes per pose), allowing gravity to work for you.
You might like to play some relaxing cello or “spa” music in the background as you practice.
Suggested Props: 1-2 Blankets, a Block (Optional), and a Timer for savasana.
